Come Together with the Community at Lowertown Sounds

Lowertown Sounds—deemed by the Star Tribune in 2022 as “the best free summer concert series in the Twin Cities”—is a free Thursday night outdoor music series in downtown St. Paul’s beautiful Mears Park. The homegrown series features live, local music, local food trucks, and Minnesota-made beer and wine. Shows run from 6–9:30 p.m. on Thursday nights from June through August, featuring musical genres ranging from rock and bluegrass to hip-hop and salsa.

Lowertown Sounds benefits the Metro Independent Business Alliance. The series is produced by One Simple Plan, the organization that has booked the music for the Mears Park summer concert series for more than 15 years, and has run Thursday night Mears Park programing and event operations since 2018 . One Simple Plan is excited to continue producing this series that’s become a beloved summertime tradition for so many music fans and Twin Cities community members, and is looking forward to a fantastic season to come.

A special thank you to our long-time, presenting sponsor, Blaze Credit Union, for continuing to make this concert series possible.

Lowertown Sounds takes place in Mears Park, 221 5th Street East in St. Paul. If you have any questions about our upcoming shows or any other concerns please fill out the form below and a member of our team will get back to you as soon as we can.
